Here are the steps to clean the filter on the Sonar 30:
1. Remove the robot from the pool. Place the robot on a flat, dry surface.
2. Make sure the robot is turned OFF.
3. Remove the filter lid and remove the filter basket.
4. Remove the filter lid by pressing the clips on the sides.
5. Rinse the lid and the filter with a garden hose on the highest stream.
Before placing the robot in the pool, press the button on the top of the robot to turn it on.
1. A flashing blue LED indicator will light up and activate the voice notifications.
2. Place the robot in the pool, making sure that the water covers the top of the robot. When the cleaning starts, the LED indicator will stop flashing blue and will switch to a solid blue.
To remove the robot from the pool, use the hook included with the Niya, by attaching it to a suitable pole (not included). When removing the robot, take care not to knock the robot on the wall of the pool to not cause damage to the device.
Turn the robot OFF after removing it from the pool, by pressing and holding down the button on the top of the robot.
Charge your Niya in a shaded, dry area with a GFCI outlet. Do not use an extension cord to connect the battery charger to the electrical socket. For user safety, place the battery charger at least 4 feet above the ground while in use.
It takes 2.5-3 hours for the Niya Sonar 30 to charge fully. The cleaning cycle times are 2-2.5 hours.

The Sonar 30 is recommended for standard pools up to 32.8 ft in length.
Before replacing the battery, make sure to dry off the robot completely from any water droplets, sand, or debris. We recommend leaving the robot standing idle for 2 days to ensure that all moisture from the device has completely evaporated.
Here are the battery replacement steps:
1. Turn the robot upside down in a dry area.
2. Remove the six screws holding the battery in place with a Phillips screwdriver.
3. With a towel, clean any water, dirt, or debris that is in the battery cavity, making sure it is completely dry and clean before continuing to the next step.
4. Insert the new battery into the battery cavity.
5. Screw in the six screws with a Phillips screwdriver to hold the battery into place.
The battery should be disposed of properly at a certified battery electronics recycling location. They should not be discarded as waste and placed in municipal recycling bins or garbage bins. The battery should be disposed of properly at a certified battery electronics recycling location.

How to store the NIYA robot for off-season storage:
1. Make sure there is no water left in the pool cleaner. We recommend letting the robot stand idle for 2 days to ensure that all moisture from the device has completely evaporated.
2. Thoroughly clean the filter basket, make sure it is completely dry, and then insert it into place.
3. Store the robot in a protected area away from direct sunlight/rain/frost at a temperature between 32 – 104 degrees F.
4. Charge the pool cleaner once every 3 months to prevent battery depletion.
We recommend taking the Niya out after each use to empty and clean the filter. Then store it in a cool, dry place when it is not in use. We also recommend rinsing the robot cleaner with clear water regularly to remove any excess chemical or salt residue.
We recommend not using the pool while the robot is working. Once the robot has completed the cleaning cycle, we recommend removing the robot from the pool.
Make sure it is fully charged by plugging it into a working outlet and letting it charge for 2.5-3 hours. If the robot still does not turn on, please contact customer care.
Make sure the pool temperature is not higher than 59°F, as this can affect the robot's ability to climb.
We recommend cleaning the filter basket to ensure the robot can climb properly. A clogged filter can affect the robot's climbing ability.
For the Sonar 50 and Sonar 70, make sure the Floor- only mode is not set in the niya app. Make sure to set the robot on Slow speed while in Wall or Waterline mode.
For the Sonar 70, make sure the foam cartridge is not installed in the filter basket.
To reset the device and erase all of the settings, follow these steps:
1. Turn the robot ON and after two seconds, press and hold the button until the LED indicator turns white.
2. If you wish to complete the reset, press the button again. The LED indicator will light up solid yellow, and the device will complete the reset.
3. If you do not want to complete the reset, wait ten seconds. The LED indicator will display solid blue and is now ready to use.
If your niya robot starts working and then stops before completing the cycle, try the
following troubleshooting steps:
1. Make sure the robot is fully charged (the robot LED should indicate a steady green) and then try running the robot.
2. If the robot LED is flashing yellow, this indicates that there is a malfunction. Listen to the voice alert that indicates an error with a specific robot part.
